A run

Going to leave around first aug.  Frost nite Raton pass about 700 miles then to Gardiner mt. about 2 day 1300 miles stop around Jackson hole an camp then to Gardiner stay 2,3 day taken on the sites then over to Red lodge 1 or 2 days to Surgis sad. 3or4 day then Esther no rally or wis. Just how the wind blows. Then back home. Going start making resignation next week.  Road ditches camp grounds nothing Hi end. Spam tuns Romain noodles. Grits or oatmeal, hot coffee & cool beer leave early stop early.  Got room for 1or2. Rudy

Beautiful country, that, sounds like it'll be a great ride.   Primitive camping, you don't have to worry about planning ahead, you can just go.

Between bad spelling & fat fingers and not rereading my post.  he’ll I just bearly know where I’m going.  If I see ocean I went to far west so I will be alright.  I don’t like BLM land for camping around yellow stone because of the bear.  Couple years ago I stayed at a primitive camp spot just out north east gate.  They said only one that hadn’t seen bear I told them this is the one for me. I carry a 357 & a shock wave, but they will wake the other camper if you need to use one.Rudy

That IS a problem, I suppose, but not as bad as the problem you'd have if you needed it and didn't use it ... !

Be that as it may, I do like the "unplanned route" approach.   Don't need a cell phone or GPS or nothin' for that ...
