Galletto Concept scooter
« on: July 15, 2020, 10:09:29 AM »
This was fun to look at:

https://www.rideapart.com/articles/433948/moto-guzzi-galletto-hybrid-concept-design/

I like the original Galletto design and this is a good homage.  It is just a set of concept drawings, of course.  Just wishful thinking on the artist's part, but nicely done.

Nice! I'm not crazy about the headlight brackets (I prefer the integrated headlight, like that of the '62 Galletto) but otherwise, this looks like winner.

Don't get me wrong.  I like the Scarabeo.  Small ones too.  The BV500 is a hoot to ride or whatever model took it's place.

Definitely good scoots, just nothing exciting designwise.

That is a plus.  A spare in the legshield with some metal bodywork like Vespa still does would be great.

I'm not a scooter man myself but I personally that looks darn nice, even without the hybrid part.

Small wheels give me the screaming abdabs; this has real sized wheels. :thumb:

Great stuff! I’ve been harping on the bigger wheel scooters for a long time....the article refers to a Beverly...thats the Europe name for the Piaggio BV series...4valve, 16” wheel, dual disk....200, 250, 350, and mentioned above the 500

YaMAha made a race spec Brake and suspension version Called a TMax

Its the bigger wheels, like this new Galletto has, that carries the day

Piaggio could pump these out, if there is a market. Great around town
Awesome on the showroom floor but probably needs to be parked w the Vespa

Thanks!

I'm a Guzzi fan, but if I were in the market for something like that, I'd get a new Honda 125cc Cub step-thru ....
