TEXAS "GRIT" Rally is Cancelled

That's right, folks.  No GRIT Rally this year.   :sad:   I had not planned on cancelling because I'm always excited to see everyone, but sometimes plans have to change.  I hope to see y'all down the road soon.

Any day now we can uncover the baby's face!  The older girl loves the rallies.  She'll be riding with me soon!

Perhaps the next rally should just be a meetup at Black's in Lockhart!  Any nice weekend will do as a good excuse to ride out there for lunch!

How is City Market doing in Luling?  It's been decades since I've been there.


GRIT is a fine rally- been decades since I've been to that as well (sigh).  But I'm doing my part in an abstract way- I recently sold a Breva 750 to a wonderful young man in his 20's that lives in Dallas.  Strongly encouraged him to show up at the next one.

I had my 1st beef brisket there. It was delicious! I definitely want to go back!

Head down to Llano or Lockhart and give it a try.  What I like about Texas beef BBQ is they don't use any of the traditional pork BBQ sauce rub or spices.  OTOH, they like to use their beef spices on the pork.  I can deal with the pork but it just ruins beef to use BBQ sauce flavors on it.  Texas does beef right.
