B11 / B12 Dash/instrument cluster removal

I have to replace a front blinker on my B12 and from what I can see the blinker unit plugs directly into the instrument cluster, so I assume I will need to remove the instrument cluster to remove the blinker connection.
I've done a search but I can't find anything on how to remove the instrument cluster from the bike. Maybe its a simple job but its not obvious to me and I don't want to break anything or dismantle stuff unnecessarily.
Anyone care to give me a quick walk through ?
Thanks in advance.

You certanly do not need to touch the dash to replace the light, there is a connector. Just follow the wires from the light.
The connector into the dash is a large multiway pin connector, you wouldn't be able to connect directly into that if you wanted to.

Thanks Brian.
I'll have a closer look tomorrow.
