Two major storms in 5 weeks is a little much.
One third of the house has been gutted and sanitized with a blue roof above these areas
(probably won't hold so more water in house).

Time to think about moving back to Austin or anywhere warm without hurricanes.

The good news:  house fully insured, all bikes and cars undamaged,
retired, not married, and able to move wherever I want.

I feel for you guys, we are still cleaning up from Sally and the 24" of rain and wind from that storm. Getting hit by another storm so soon would have taken down a lot more tree's that are just starting to dry out.

Good to hear from you; sorry about the earlier damage and impending storm!! The "Lake Country" area in TX is great and not as crowded as Austin. Good luck and keep in touch. Let me know if I can be any help!!

I was down through the Galveston area years ago , refresh my memory , but isn't that where numerous ocean
side homes are up on stilts ? If it is , I now know why . Other fond memories included trying to swim around
there and discovering jellyfish tentacles constantly stinging me :) .  Peter
