Guzzidiag and Tunerpro
« on: November 24, 2020, 08:49:13 PM »
Am I correct that to view Guzzidiag .bin files I need to use Tunerpro with an .xdf if I want to view the mapping charts?
There are two xdf's for the Moto Guzzi V9.

MIUG3_MotoGuzzi_V9_ 464DVCAO_V1.09.xdf
MIUG3_MotoGuzzi_V9_ 4640xxxx_V1.09.xdf

How can I know which one applies to my bike?
Ordered the cables but haven’t arrived yet. Just trying to understand all this beforehand.  Thanks.

Thanks, Bert. That’s a wealth of information to digest.
I’m hoping someone can chime in and clarify which xdf is appropriate. For example, are there two versions of ECU or is one for the Roamer and the other for the Bobber? As I understand it using the wrong one can brick the UCU.

Unlikely to be one for the Roamer and the other for the Bobber.

If the source is genuine, then your ECU will be fine.  Just make sure the bike battery has enough charge to remain voltage for the time it takes to reflash the ECU.

You might wish to consider a Beetle map (www.Griso.org)  if there is one available.

The two xdf's exist because there are different maps that have not all data on the same place. If you have the cables, you can connect the bike and Guzzidiag will tell you the map that's in the bike in left bottom corner.

Thanks, Paul. That’s what I discovered this afternoon. Should have read your post but been busy the past week. Finally got connected to my V9.
