87 deg today

Another January with high temps and no rain. Not a cloud in the sky as usual. 15% humidity and a lot of negative ions in the air. Got shocked from static electricity numerous times today. This is getting old. Would go riding but need to work on the EV and the winds in the back country are up to no good. WE NEED RAIN! Can some of you guys send us some?

Please, only post 87° temperature reports from California when the unit of measurement is Celsius.

A balmy 88deg in San Pedro today. Had to take care of a few things. I rode my HD. Now I remember why I don't take that bike on a hot day. Think of the Xmas song about chestnuts and an open fire!!! WOW. The head and pipe next to your right thigh and the primary at your left calve. Not fun at a traffic light.
I don't mind the heat, but definitely would like to get rid of the static. I take my truck somewhere with the dog. I hop out and then pick up the dog to set her on the ground. ZAP!!!!! Poor dog!!!!

Yeah Tom, that rear cylinder gets mighty hot in hot weather, not so bad when it is cold.

On the weather channel or the like. I read something like 36hi 24lo for Milwaukee Wi.. Brrrrrrr, that's a tad bit on the chilly side for a weather wimp from So. Cal.. When we get nigh time lows in the mid 50's it's time for a down parka:grin:

Rain is forecast for this week in northern AZ...We have not had any rain for many months...I'll believe it when I see it.

30’s to low 40’s (F) with high winds here on Cape Cod. Since it could just as easily be in the tens and twenties I am not complaining. Keeps the tourists home for at least 3 -4 more months.
