Ice under all that snow...roads closed...ADOT says "STAY HOME" for today!  People "slipping & sliding" all over the place!!

I wound up driving a railroad crew to Klamath Falls Oregon day before yesterday although it rolled into yesterday. I was on a lot of unplowed roads. On what usually takes about 9.5 hours took twelve and a half not including the hour I had to wait for the crew. I was afraid of getting stuck at one point even though I was driving a 4WD Suburban with mud and snows with studs. Looong day and night. Our first real big snow storm. Another bigger one due tonight and I go back on call at midnight. Ugh.

Even though it's a "SNOW DAY" up here...the birds also have to eat...so I filled all the feeders this morning...

I am old and retired. I am doing this to keep from getting bored this winter.  Plus this is extra money to pay for my Guzzi habit. I didn't need a V7 but I bought a new one and financed it. I will have it paid off by spring. Get to hang out with railroad crews. Win win.

Two inches have fallen in SW Missouri since about 3:00 AM and still coming down. Two cars off the road and a FEDEX truck with pups in the ditch in my 13 mile commute.

Tuesday morning, Jan. 27, 2021..and just like that...the sun is out now...snow is melting...
...The roads are plowed and clear..and the "Mini-SNOWMAGGEDEN" is over!! 
Still, makes for some beautiful photos!!

We got a lot of snow in the same storm that hit you JJ. 2' on Mount Laguna, 6" on Palomar and who knows how much on the taller mountains in SoCal such as San Jacinto, Mount Baldy etc...

We only had one significant snow fall back in December. However, word has it that a Nor’easter will be heading up the coast on Sunday.
