odometer cable 2003 Stone
« on: February 17, 2021, 07:51:51 PM »
How is the cable attached down in the transmission ?  I unscrewed the knarled collar from the transmission, I cant pull the cable  up and out,  I think it maybe rusted in place?  What type of connection holds the cable in place ?  or should it just pull out.

Sticks in the hole with a ferrel keeps snug when collar is on. Rusted? yes, take vice grips and yank up, twisting.

thanks,  it worked, I pulled it out.  I was afraid of how it was connected down there. Apparently same as in the gauge.
since the gauge was missing and the cable open there was moisture so rust was down there. So of course I am having difficulty getting the trans end connected enough, there is too much cable showing at the gauge end.
One issue after another.
