I'd guess there could be a market for a bike with "V50 characteristics" as described by Dimitri.
Would it sell? Depends - on price and looks, i.a.

Would I buy one? Possibly.

Don't think so much of the word "V50" - what's central in this discussion are weight and performance

Plenty of underpowered bikes on the market now. I wouldn't be a buyer myself.

I agree. Piaggio could likely adapt an existing (scooter) powertrain to build it. Something like the stillborn Italjet Amarcord.
