My price for Caruso gears and oil pump with shipping to US was as follows, cutting and pasting from email, but this was 2012.   The total was anyway equivalent to $1080 USD at that time, using today's exchange rate.

STEEL OIL PUMP GEAR TO FIT DAS PUMP                         £160.00
STEEL LARGE JACKSHAFT GEAR 16M COMPUTER              £275.00
DAS OIL PUMP,INCL BANK  CHARGES /SHIPPING              £265.00
GLOBAL PRIORITY  TRACKED SHIPPING TO USA               £  65.00
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOTAL                                                                            £765.00     ENGLISH POUNDS

As of 2 weeks ago, for the next batch

___________________ ___________________ ___________________ _____________
CENTAURO  Large Steel Gear            365.00
CENTAURO  Oil Pump Steel Gear      265.00
CENTAURO  upgraded Oil Pump       380.00

@ Rate 1.41=  $1426.03 USD plus shipping and any taxes.

4.1% annual inflation since 2012, neglecting currency exchange rate changes

Joe has improved the oil pump gear since I installed mine, re-spacing the lightening holes that were laid out improperly on Guzzi's original aluminum gear.   In addition to being made from the wrong material by Guzzi, this was one reason the original gear breaks into pieces, as well as wearing quickly on the teeth.  I'm not sure this was ever an issue with a steel gear, the material is much, much stronger but it sure looks like a better design visually.

Yes, I had the Joe Caruso oil pump gear / timing gear, etc. replaced from aluminum to steel a few years ago.  "The weak link of that 4V motor FIXED!!"  It cost about $600 USD back then, as I recall... :thumb:

And there's a better iteration again in the future which will allow his pumps to go back to the std Centauro 21mm wide gears. My Centy engine has the DAS pump and Joes gears and my V11 engine has his gears only. My 95mm bore Centy engine will have Joes gears and the next generation pump with the plain bearing for the drive gear.

Ciao
