Wonder why they don't just work on using the most abundant element in the universe as a fuel source?

But then what would people write about.

And we wouldn't have a 'synthetic versus dino fuel' thread. Everyone knows that synthetic fuel is better.

I heard that you'll have to run the motor on convention fuel for the 1st 5,000 miles to allow the injectors break in" before switching to synthetic fuel.

And synthetic fuel will leak past to old hoses.  :boozing:

The Germans ran much of their WW2 machines on a liquid fuel from coal...I can't say how clean the process is but considering the coal reserves it's looking into...

German synthetic fuel was not so good, from what I have read. Especially in aviation.

Food for thought taken from a reader-posted comment of this article:

"I, for one, am all for taking a Volkswagen-controlled company’s word about clean fuel technology at face-value without any critical commentary."

Touche, right?  You'd have to read some of the other comments for proper context.  I am certainly not opposed to ideas that could better help us into the future.  We'll see!
