when I bought mine in 01 my dealer was a nice 20 min ride through the back roads, now it would be 2-3 hours to the nearest and little guarantee they'd be a dealer tomorrow. Not sure I'd buy another Guzzi at this point in my life.

I am interested in a V7 850, but not the very first off the assembly line.
However, I will never again do business with Eurocycles of Las Vegas.
So, if I am able to purchase a V7 850 I will drive to the Phoenix area or Los Angeles area.

When I bought my Triumph in 2012, I bought and registered it in California, where my shop was located.
By the time I brought it to Nevada, in 2013, a dealership opened in Las Vegas.

The brothers then sold the dealership, to retire and the new owner is at best annoying.

Isn't that the truth, the Reno and Windsor stores are owned by the same person. I got one of my bikes in Windsor and the other in Reno, not the most pleasant experiences. I will use them if I have too but may try the Elk Grove dealer. Hopefully I won't need to use any of them.

Anything resembling a dealership that is full service would be 2500 miles NE of here.

15 minutes now. It used to be 4 hours one way when I had a new Guzzi though.

Can't see myself ever buying a new Guzzi with the level of support we have here in the central US. I'm happy with my Tonti Frame Klunkers. Even if they do barely get me around  :boozing:

I have a good Triumph dealer however!

Chris now owns the Reno, Sonoma (57 miles from Windsor?), Las Vegas BMW and Euro (Aprilla, Triumph Moto Guzzi, etc) stores.
His silent partner, Antonio Acconerio, may be OK, but Chris is not.

The original owners (Reno & Las Vegas), Brad and I forget his brothers name, were gentlemen.  When I rode my Triumph 300 miles to Las Vegas, in pain from the stock seat, Brad not only had a touring seat in stock, but gave me a modest credit on the stock seat!

There is a good dealer about 35 miles from my location to San Diego but, I have acknowledged the fundamental fact of owning a Guzzi, you have to know how to fix it yourself. And with the help of the generous souls on this website it becomes possible.

After reading how far some of you have to travel to your dealer, I am almost embarrassed to say my Guzzi workshop is about 500 metres up the road. Thanks Michael and Pete.

For me, there is no "riding" to the dealer. The nearest one is three islands away, a week by barge. I live in Kona, the dealer is in Honolulu. Fortunately, I've been around long enough to do most everything on my own.

55000 km ago I picked up a phone and ordered this bike from a dealer 2300 km south of me. Best 'dealership service'

has been the advice I have received here on this forum.

A 10 minutes ride from my home. He is an official dealer of Guzzi, Aprilia, Vespa, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Royal Enfield (and yes, Kymco). Well-schooled technicians!

I have about 1 1/2 hours of riding to my dealer.
However, if possible I take the whole day and make a huge detour as there are wonderful roads in the area

Normally I pick up the bikes in April/ May after winter storage and servicing, and deliver them again in October. Usually no need to see the dealer in between.
And there's a train service for the bike-less leg which is ok, under the circumstances - takes a couple of hours, so I can do some sleeping or reading.
Dealer drives me to the station (5 min.), and there's a 5 min. walk home at the other end.

Roughly 16,000 Feet to the nearest dealer. Good thing as the Norge I bought has been very problematic. It has an electrical issue that throws no codes as a clue to what is going on. Fortunately it is still under warranty.
The fact that the dealer is Hamlin is also a plus.
