Had one of these at age 15...
« on: April 17, 2021, 07:53:11 AM »
Me and my buddy Mike had a pair of 1967 S-90's like this...in black & chrome...and after watching the end of "EASY RIDER", at the local theater, we came home, took off the exhaust pipes, and rode around our neighborhood to make a lot of noise...in protest to the untimely death of Captain America and Billy!!

I also had one in 67 but prior to easy rider. I put a bicycle seat on it and  removed the front finder. My neighbor, an electrician, using a pipe bender, made me a straight pipe from a piece of conduit which pointed to the sky in chopper style. I made a sissy bar from an old TV antenna fastened to the shock brackets with hose clamps. Dressed in jeans, brogans and a sleeveless blue jean jacket and wearing an real German helmet, terrorized the the local farmers in my neighborhood. Being a farm kid as well and everyone knew my parents, their fear was minimal at best, more likely LTAO as I roared down the gravel roads.
Thanks for bringing back a great memory!
