Rare Bimota on BaT

This is a pretty rare bike. I have no idea of the real market value, but I think it’s going to be expensive.

Edited the title JJ , and merged it with sdcr's thread .

Man they really are tiny , I sat on one at the old Dallas mid-America auction in '97 , teen-intsy little things , about like an RS 250 Aprillia  .

at the introduction of the DB1 in the netherlands , the importer put a wooden beam at 1.80 in a doorway , everybody who needed to duck to pass was too big for the DB1!
these are tiny bikes....
still the DB1 and DB2 are my dream bikes, light and nimble, with enough power to scare myself.
never found one affordable enough to buy one though.
I came very close to buying a japanese spec 400 cc DB2.

Sorry JJ, you are too quick with the BaT posts, or maybe you are addicted to the site...

No worries sdcr...it's all good! :thumb:

Yes, I like to look at all the cool vintage bikes and prices, (maybe looking too much...), they are getting these days.

Since we all cannot be like Jay Leno, looking, and dreaming, fills the void...

JJ,

Yep, lots of interesting vehicles to look at, cars, trucks, boats, planes and even a tank or two.

Speaking of the Bimota, what do you think it will hammer at? I’m guessing $17,500.

@ $9,000 now...and with 6 days still to go, I would say it will go for north of $15,000+ for sure...and your estimate of $17,500 may be more accurate... :thumb:   :boozing:

By the way, another nice, relatively rare, vintage Ducati...and just LOOK AT THE PRICE right now!!    It is a nice example, and will go much higher...
