v9 Roamer, highly underated

Mine is truly wonderful, for me.
Yes, I had to mess around with it to get it right, suspension work at both ends, add Givi rack, HB Cbow bags, and a very attractive and functional MG touring screen, and I couldn't be too much happier.
The motor is a true MG gem, nice 6 speed trans, flat comfy seat (for one) good brakes TC that can be easily turned off, what's not to like?
But really, for a big guy like me I find it very comfy and still able to get up and play.
But I'm still keeping my Breva 11. The B11 can still run run away from the Roamer in the twisties, and for high end speed, it's hard to beat the big bore stuff.
Oh, and I forgot, the after market cans from Agostine are absolutely glorious, I can't imagine any pipe sounding better, and with no re-maping BS.

Chad, I know your post is about the V9 Roamer, but since you mentioned the B11 Breva, I thought I'd comment. Those CARC bikes with 1051cc and 1151cc engines are hard to beat! Love the way my 1200 Sport made power. So smooth, so linear, and so willing to climb to near redline. Even though my Sport was a 2 valve per cylinder, pushrod engine, that may have been its strong suit. Yep, the 8vSE Griso had more brute power, but the 2v Sport was truly a 'gentlemans' sport tourer.

I've ridden the 4v, but not for really long enough to get to know it, but I have plenty on the 2v Carc.
I think it's really, really good. It's way fast enough to get me in trouble in a snap, I imagine the 4v would get me in trouble in 2/3 of a snap, but I don't need that.
The CARC bikes were a brilliant compromise, I wish Guzzi and the sense to keep updating, but then again I wish I was 23 again... Anyway, the CARC are another underrated Guzzi.

Been riding my Roamer for 5 years now. Have not done much to it - I like it fine the way it is. Not many out there, but for me it's a beauty all the way around. Pic is from the Broken Arrow rally in Idaho last month.

if it's the right bike for you, it doesn't matter what anyone else has to say. but on the whole, they seem to have been reliable, trustworthy steeds and the engine is highly praised. i test rode one once and loved the engine, but the bike was a little small for me at the time.

I have a ‘17 Roamer. Love it! It has the longer comfort seat and Guzzi rack and backrest. No windshield, yet.
