New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
I picked up a new V85 Centenario a few weeks ago. During one ride the check engine light started flashing (not on solid, blinking about twice a second). I stop and turn the bike off. Turn it on and light is off. I eventually figured out it happens when the tach hits 5700 rpm. Its at the dealer now but so far they have not been able to track it down. No codes are thrown and there don't seem to be any other symptoms. Just curious if anyone else has seen a similar issue...Cheers,Dave
Almost like the ecu has a running in algorithm that throws a code and warning if you go above the owners manual 'running in" procedure.Ciao
I have a V85 Centenario, and had a check engine light problem. Mine never flashed, but one day it was simply on when I started the bike. Dealer said it may be bad gas, so I ignored it and just kept riding. Seemed to run the same way as before the light came on.Every time the bike was on, so was the engine light for the next few weeks, even having refilled several times with new gas. One day I stopped for lunch, and when I started the bike again it ran very rough for a few minutes, but then smoothed out and the light went off. No problems since then, and no errors were found at the first service afterward either.A complete mystery, but since it went away and has not reoccurred I haven't worried about it. Eric
P.S. -- my Owner's Manual says nothing about a "Check Engine" light.SR
Making too high rpm s in break in period.Limit probably set to 5500?
My experience with a 2020 was O2 sensor. But, in your case reset the red line to 7000 and see if that changes it.
Spoke to the service guys at LaMoto today. They say its good to go. Reason for the issue? Some of the "learning parameters" came from the factory incorrectly initialized. The reset with PADS and now everything should be fine. We will see...Cheers,Dave
Indeed.Ciao
