What might have been - Brando on a Guzzi
« on: January 09, 2022, 07:11:55 AM »
I had never seen this picture before coming across it on the website “Thevintagent.” Apparently the iconic Triumph used in the Wild One wasn’t inevitable. There are publicity shots of him on a Matchless as well as this Moto Guzzi Falcone. Makes you wonder what difference it might’ve made for the brand had it been used in the movie..

Looks like a photoshop job to me.  Using good photo editing software, you could put Brando on any motorcycle you like...put him on a Goldwing!

Could be I suppose, although Paul Dorleans of The Vintagent is pretty reliable. The pic here of the Matchless seems real enough.

I think the Guzzi photo were publicity shots but he rode the Brit bike in the movie.

The pic is legit. First time I saw it was in the early '90s. That one is common. Here is one not as popular.
