New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
If you get an oddessey battery you can squeeze it and the CPU into the battery area which opens up your options.
98 has the big p-8, not going to fit into the battery area.I had Rich's custom seats redo my seat looong ago. Much better now/still
yes it does, I've done it myself. Use a odessey 925 I think it was.I'll look for the photographic proof.
BTW, when Guzzi moved up to the M15 smaller computer located in the sidecover, they still had a large stock of the original P8 seats. There are lots of '99 and '00 bikes with no P8 under the seat but still have the offending 90 degree ridge to deliver pain from the seat pan.:-(Patrick HayesFremont CA
What battery is that?I see it now, 680, 12 amps smaller than the 925
True, but I've read where people have exchanged the P-8 for the M15.Seems like a lot of work, wiring harness, and buying the M15. But if your P-8 died, might be an option.
Yeah I guess I had the 680 battery too. Lasted 7 years and still strong when I got rid of the bike. BTW The V11 Lemans and sport use the smaller 680 too, no problem.
I've written on this before. Yes, with a smaller battery, the P8 will quite easily fit into the battery compartment. Even need to add some foam padding.Alas, the issue is NOT the p8 itself. Rather, in order to use the P8, Guzzi put a 90 degree recess into the pan base of the seat. When you ride a long time, your butt sinks directly onto the 90 ridge. Moving the computer is half the battle. The other half is modifying and redesigning the seat pan.
