If you havent seen the date yet, the 2022 Meltdown vintage bike show is scheduled back in the spring this time.  Saturday April 30.  It's always a good time with lots of good bikes.  Numerous Guzzis and WG folks there last fall when I was there with my Corsa Record project after the Mayor leveraged me into some needed progress on the tank.

Sadly, I've made little diescernable progress on that bike since then with any more progress before then highly unlkely.  It's nice to have work in studio, but makes it hard to have time to do much fun stuff.  If a pending special project sells, I may not even make it to this Meltdown at all.   Hope to see some other WG folks there if I can make it.

That would be the easy solution, Chad.  BUt I'm on the cusp of an unexpected but very good stone project that will consume all of my time until it ships in early June.  I spent all wekend carving trying to wrap up work that's already here.   There will be no time for anything else, especially any reindeer games....  Of course, if it doesn't sell, there's less money for fun stuff like bike tags/insurance/parts, etc.  Feast or Famine.  The budget right now is slated to buy 3 VFDs this week to get my miling machine, pullmax and lathe up & running.

Bob, Saluda is nearby and a nice area.  It's basically between me and the Meltdown, so not far from the event.

Who is going to the meltdown from this group and do you want to meet up for supper at 5pm Saturday?  Would be in downtown Hendersonville at Moes original bbq at 114 north Main Street.  Let me know if anyone wants to meet

We'll be there all day. I suspect my wife will be full to the brim with motorcycle talk (and then some) by the time dinner rolls around. If we end up arriving in two vehicles, I will certainly stay for BBQ, but can't confirm fully.

That job didn't sell, so my schedule should be open to be at the Meltdown.  Put me down as a tentative yes for 5pm at Moe's, possibly with my wife.  I/we may just come up later in the day.

Edit.  My wife is a tentative yes.  I'll try to make sure she's on her best behavior and leaves her possum at the house....

Due to a pressing obligation on the 30th of April I cannot go to the meltdown.  You all have fun!  Maybe Il get to go next year!

GREAT turnout!! GREAT weather!!
Took the mighty GRiSO and all the backroads I could find. Left yesterday morn and got home 6pm today.
540 miles in all. Saw another GRiSO on the Cherohala, same color, same year and built in the same month !
Spent a little time on the Blue Ridge Parkway to boot..

The ice carving of the raffle bike was crazy!

Some cool bikes and a good time..

Also, took in the "Wheels through Time" museum in Maggie Valley

The bike ran like a bear and never missed a beat. Just a perfect two days out on the goose to set things right in life! :thumb:

The only bummer was not seeing you before I left.  After getting this new bike last night, I didn't bring anything to the meltdown.  I  just unhooked the trailer and came up.

It was a good day.  I got some Guzzi parts and service manuals from the only (unofficial & unwelcome) swap meet vendor.

I've got pics tbut can't do it on this old iPad..

Wish I could have made it over.  Just a little too far for a one day ride to leave any time for the event itself.  Hotel prices in Hendersonville were a bit too crazy $$ for me.
