New front brake caliper seals

Replaced both sides on my 24-year old Centauro GT yesterday...A messy job, but necessary as the right caliper was leaking brake fluid on my newly painted chin spoiler!

thats a fact! I have been struggling with my 2009 Ford Ranger brakes, repeated bleeding after replacing the front calipers and the master cylinder, even with a vacum pump the brake pedal isn't good, mechanic friend says its the ABS control module, Saturday's job and more bleeding....

You will need to manipulate the ABS module to bleed it then. That usually requires access to the BCM or in some cases you can pull covers off the ABS module and manually manipulate the valves. The other way is a deserted road and a few braking cycles that kick the abs in.
BTW the vacuum pump method is pretty rubbish these days. I bought one of these and use it for the cars and bikes. Works very well and it's cheap. Pressure bleeding is the way to go.

Yes...and WORST when brake fluid gets on freshly painted surfaces...like my chin spolier...it already "discolored" the clear coat...but "Oh Well...

I tried buying one of those pressure units but could only find a decent price on Amazon with the Ford reservoir cap but it was three weeks plus to get it and I need this done now so I used a Mytivac pump, with a bit of grease on the nipple to seal air being drawn into the hose it’s a just ok. Selling my Ford so just can’t justify the pressure bottle but taking the truck to a friends shop Monday to sort the ABS problem.
