Things to do in SoCal
« on: September 13, 2022, 09:56:09 PM »
On a work trip for a project in Torrance, Ca. Job got pushed for a day, so what to do?

A visit to Moto Guzzi Classics and then the Peterson Automotive Museum! Here is some eye candy. These 1100 T and 1100 SS bikes are really sweet. I might have to sell some stuff. Also a clean yellow Centy and a S-3. Also met Marks Cockatoo. The bird let me know who the boss is.

Love visiting Mark at MG Classics.  His drag car is a beast!

What’s he askin’ $$ for the S3?  Or is it a customer’s?

I don't have a clue about the S-3. She is a looker. A couple of bikes we did discuss were pretty reasonably priced, and some bargains. The Centauro was especially clean. You could call and ask.

I sat on the green/black 1100ss and it fit my 6'4 frame like a glove.

Checking out Mark's place is a definite.  Check out the tarpits.  Local iconic place to eat is Pink's Hotdogs.  Rock Store would also be another one.  The drive/ride is fun.  Find the curve that the guys wipe out on.  Pull over and watch.
Saturday/Sunday is the best time to be there.  Kind of like going to Tortilla Flats but more motorcycles.  Korea town has some great yakiniku restaurants.  (table bbq)

I love Korean BBQ. There is a little a place around the corner from my house that makes the best Chicken Bulgogi and seafood pancakes. The meat Jun is a treat too.

Yakiniku?  If they do then scratch that from the list.  :boozing:
