Stelvio struggle, won't rev over 5000 rpm

Even tho these bikes are very complicated sometimes the simplest answer is the right one.I had a similar problem when my Stelvio revved but would not move I imagined all sorts of causes from electronic to transmission.A quick examination by my riding buddy Steve revealed that the throttle assembly had somehow loosened resulting in the equivalent of a broken throttle cable which he fixed with a foil wrapper from his chewing gum.

That will do it. I used to find all sorts of stuff in the tank on the CARC's & SB's. Mostly like foam kind of stuff from making of the tank.
