New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
............ It idles and runs fine, but does smell like there is some unburned fuel. From cold start goes to 1200 rpm then settles down into a nice steady 1000 RPM very quickly ......
That fuel mileage seems pretty low. 2V Norges usually get +10 more. Did you read what map is in it? Do you know if owner modified it? Maybe reset self learning for some help. If the O2 sensors are not turned off the CO Trim doesn't effect it. It will still go open & closed loop. You should be able to see that with Guzzi Diag. It should also tell you the mapp # and when installed.Just looked it up in my paperwork, Service Moto Guzzi site 9/18/2009 2V Norge is 2230NG18 the latest map stock from Guzzi. From this it looks like it was 2230NG17 then 2229NG1224 then 2230NG18. I was remapping at this time for 2 different dealers on the factory Axone software.
Looks like an early map number. I would say to stick a known good map in it not owner adjusted. He differently got it wrong, one reason not everyone should be doing their own mapping just cause they can. Overfueling will do more damage than stock.
You could get a Beetle map and install yourself. OR get a tuning box from GT, Todd has a mapping box he sends out, it resets stuff also for service. All depends on your comfort level on doing computer work on your bike. I have to be able to do both and more. My customers have both Power Commanders & GuzziDiag running equipment. I also have a MyECU on my EV which is great stuff just not for newer models. Are you comfortable using GuzziDiag ? Use It. Reader & Writer work fine.
I use this old W7 laptop. Don't know how the Reader & Writer works on a MAC. Beetle can adjust it or have one already for open in & out.Just looked, seems they run on MAC OS X.
