Rivets for V7 Sport Fuse Box?

Happy New Year All!

Anyone know what size rivets the V7 Sport fuse box uses? Also, guessing they are Stainless?

The fuse box rivets on my '73/'74 Sport are stainless, either 2.4mm or 3mm. there are many web sites listing Pop rivets, there aren't many offering metric sizes, especially the two smallest diameters. The SAE{inch} equivalent would be 3/32" and 1/8" diameters. Why are you asking about the size, is your box melted or broken? Horst.

I don’t remember the rivets being stainless.  It’s been a long time since I removed them on my bike’s fuse panel.. 

Regardless of the rivets are made of, corrosions on the adjoining faces of the riveted brass components of the fuse box can be a significant detriment to the charging system.  I/we chased a serious charging deficit for a long time that was finally resolved by removing the rivets and thoroughly cleaning that unseen corrosion.   I soldered my fuse box back together, not pretty but Guzzi cheap and it works properly.

I just used stainless pop rivets when I rebuilt mine

I'm making a new box from 3 of these:


The item pictured only holds 3 fuses. Have to drill out all the rivets from 1 and remove the fuse holders from the other 2. Paint it grey and rivet it all back together.
Also, pretty sure I have to cut the connection underneath the paired wire connections?
EDIT: Checked Greg Bender's Instructions on Fuse Box Connections and Charlie's picture of the back of the fuse box was extremely helpful. 
Is there a length or depth on the rivets needed?

Been there, done that.  I don't remember the length of the s.s. rivets I used.

   I measured the "upset" length of the rivets on my fuse block, they measure 8mm. For 3/32"[2.4mm] the grip length would be .126"to .250".The rivet length would be .375". The same length dimensions would apply to 1/8"[3mm] dia. rivets. Horst.

One more thing , to assure good contact, slightly compress the sides of the female connectors.  Horst.

Look on UK or German EBay for a Moto Morini 3-1/2 or 500 fuse box, same as the V7 Sport and sometimes in gray. You will need to add brass clips and change the bridge plates to match the V7 Sport. Benelli 650S we’re also gray.

I also built up a black one from a couple black ones I bought from Guzzino
