My cousin was killed in California when a pick up topper blew off the truck in front of him and he couldn't avoid it.  Topper had been held on with vise grips.  Driver was ticketed and tried for vehicular manslaughter.

My favorites were Seniors on the way to get their blood test at 7 am(lab opens at 7:30) left right take a breath!, a breath taking view that took my attention too long into a corner that ended with me sitting on the pavement, and last but not least a California Vulture leaving its lunch in the ditch with a full belly and almost got me before it got altitude!

 They are all out there just waiting to kill someone, especially me!

Frogs, brazlllions of frogs. Tar snakes and real snakes. Skunks cuz they distract concentration. Big buzzard dropping dead things whilst crapping. It’s all part of the fun!

Things typically not found here in the US. When living in GB, herd of sheep crossing the road, the the road covered in sheep poop. A fox hunt, beagle dogs and people in suits on horseback in the middle of the road, then horse poop on the road...

Many years ago, mid bend I ran over a snake which nearly had me off as the wheel slipped.


The oddest though was just last year, came over the brow of a hill to find a full-sized wooden 5-bar farm gate lying flat in the middle of the road, luckily I managed to avoid it so I stopped and dragged it onto the verge.


A few hours later I passed the same spot and it had gone, presumably whoever 'lost' it had come back to reclaim it, either that or it was stolen...

I came over the top of a hill to find moma skunk leading about five little skunks crossing the road. Quickly calculating my braking distance I realized I could stop about where they were so decided that wouldn’t work out for me. Moma was about in the middle of the oncoming lane traveling to the left with the little ones across my lane. I nailed the gas and went around in front of moma skunk. She raised her tail but didn’t spray. All the little skunks raised their tails but didn’t spray either. A lot of possible outcomes had went through my mind in short order. Another time it was dark when my wife and I left a fishing hole on an Ambassador. When I turned on the road I realized I had gone the wrong way so I made a u turn. That’s when I noticed the skunk and rode around it, hoping I wouldn’t fall over with my wife and all the gear loaded on the bike. I just putted around it and my wife never saw the skunk. Armadillos, raccoons and ground hogs are good to miss when they try to commit suicide by getting run over, they could weigh thirty pounds or better.

Last night it was all the young female officers and NCO's dressed to the 9's at a military ball.

We gave everyone the opportunity to chose between formal wear or uniform. 90% chose formal wear and they cleaned up VERY well as compared to normal duty uniform. After the 10th group of young ladies wanted me to take pictures with them in the selfie thing I almost died.... Not from them or my heart of course, but from SWMBO........... "I didn't know you were so popular' was her exact words........... I'm still afraid to sleep or turn my back.

Extension ladder on the Expressway out of Boston. Luckily it was laying the long way with traffic.  I was puckered for about an hour.  Outside of Roswell an almost dead monster rattler.
