Years ago, there was a guy from Kingman, AZ, ("Arizona Dave?"), that rode a PIAGGIO MP3 for a several rallies in a row to the Datil, NM Guzzi Rally.
I think it was about 400cc, but it was pretty interesting....Like this one...

AZ Wayne. Randy Dawes. His quote that I remember is his description of the Centauro as a "pregnant shrimp".
He brought his MP3 250 to the Colorado MGNOC National. He also had a 400. I bought my MP3 500 because of him letting me ride his 250 in Salina. He sponsored the MGNOC National in N. CA at Grass Valley. One of the Nationals that I couldn't attend. My youngest was still in diapers.
I stayed with him and Judy as visiting cook.
