2015 Eldorado Heated Grips
« on: June 26, 2023, 03:34:35 PM »
Hi team, does anyone categorically know if I can wire in OEM Moto Guzzi Heated Grips - 2S001325 to my '15 Eldo ? Read a bit about it and seen options for Koso and Oxford aftermarkets (dislike the fat controller) but OEM always nicer. Apparently 2S001325 only for V85 models. Many thanks

My only experience with heated grips was on my 2018 Eldorado , they were Koso . This is a significant task
as the grips were for a smaller throttle tube . I lost count of the hours I spent sanding down the larger throttle
tube , opening the grip was dropped within moments . They were fine afterwards , but you want to keep the
grip as round as possible . Peter

I bought my 2015 Cali 1400 after they had discontinued the OEM heated grips and couldn't get past the poor, bored switch just sitting there on my clutch pod not switching anything.  Likely from some other thread on this forum, I bought Oxford Heaterz Touring, cut the controller out of the equation, and wired them up to the wires intended for the OEM grips.  Fit was fine without modification on either side.  Bike recognized they were there without issue and I was done for $65 for the grips and maybe $10 for wire terminals off Ebay.  50deg F is about as low as I've ridden with them but the medium setting is plenty warm at that temperature.
