Fuel line disconnect on 08 Calvin
«

I’m trying to get the fuel tank off my 08 Calvin. What is the trick to disconnecting the DARN fuel line connector?
There is not much room in there.
I have pulled the pump fuse and turned the engine over a few times but no luck.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions..

I have not done this yet but its real tempting for me to switch over to the BMW metal quick disconnect. Some light machining needs to be done to the fuel pump assembly.
It can be a pain but you'll get the knack of it. If you break it I could probably help you out in a pinch.
Where you located?

I threw in the towel on this project. The original idea was to get at the plug wires to make sure they were tight in the coil. I was able to do that without removing the tank after all.
Thanks for the reply’s.

Squirt some silicone spray on & around the gray ring, let it set for a while till next time. May help.
If you are in FL, ride up here & I'll take it apart for you.

Pressure in the fuel lines makes it even harder, if you have to remove it let the bike sit overnight. (I went with the metal BMW connector)
