Adirondack Rally Report
« on: July 19, 2023, 11:04:52 AM »
The Adirondack NY Rally was held July 7,8,& 9
Hot weather with a few typical summer(this summer) thunder storms provided some relief the heat.
50 or so riders made the ride to Sugarloaf Mtn Inn for Keith Smiths annual summer Rally.
The middle of no where, no Cell, internet, Weather or Radio !
Nice to get away from it for a while.
There where many nice bikes, Jim Hamlin brought  a Red V100 and there was a upgraded V100 with Olins.
there was more than a few BMW's
John Swartz former Guzzi Rider stopped by on his Sportster to check out the V100 and say Hello.
Some may remember John's ridding partner Cooper, Sadly Cooper passed recently. Not before mastering ridding the Harley.
John has new puppy on Order and plans on training him.
Fridays Night Dinner was Pulled Pork, Corn Bread  with Cole Slaw and homemade Cookies.
Saturday we had a BBQ Ribs & BBQ Chicken and cookie. The food cooked by camp owners Bo and his wife( I forgot her name, but she also sang with the band-& was very good).
Saturday also had live music with a duo "Dead in the Woods" for 3 hours.
Two days of fabulous riding roads, cooling showers, Great Food, add nightly bonfires and good friends.

Thank you Keith and Nora, and helpers

See You Next Summer

Wonderful. The man makes magic again.  I've aged out of most any two wheeled travel.  Go ahead on brothers & sisters.
A really slick sidecar race bike has always made me smile.   R3~

I happen to frequent Wild Guzzi almost daily. Living 40 miles from Mountain View rally site I had a great visit and good to see Keith, Charlie and his wife, Jim Hamlin and others. Guzzi folks are awesome! Next year I hope to have our Schnauzer (still to be conceived, mama needs to go into heat🤔🙃) riding with me… Still need to get down to Jim’s shop in Bethel. Safe travels ya all,

This was my first venture south of the border since -.

Wonderful weekend, great food, live tunes (and YES, Mrs. B has a set of pipes!) and some lovely motorcycles.  And a chance to reconnect with my 'Murcan friends - Scott, Lee, Donny (Always forward, never straight), and all the others whose names I can't remember.

Many thx to Keith & Nora for hosting us.

Cheers!
