One of the greats.

His last years were like Glen Campbell's.  They were both pretty severe into age memory loss but once on stage they were phenomenal.

Regretfully we never saw him in concert but one day while shopping in a small store in NYC sometime back in the late 80's ,there was Anthony by himself carrying a plastic basket with some household items. My wife smiled at him and he returned a nod and a smile, a good memory and a sad loss.

I saw him sing at the Golden Gate Bridge 50th Anniversary bash back in '87. Phenomenal!

Good point Tex.
After reading your comment word for word, I’m trying my best not to use the obvious gag.

I've been a Jazz fan all my life. My Dad stirred that up. I was self employed most of my life. When working and travelling the US and much of Europe - I took advantage; After all, the fun typically began after 8pm. I saw Tony Bennet in France twice and 2 times in the US. His breath control is astounding. His delivery always honest, sincere and your guy regardless of where and how often. I also enjoyed his Pianist; with him at more personal settings. I was glad for his renaissance with much younger singers. Truly, one of the best entertainers & great guy. RIP ,R3~

Now I’m not suggesting he had mob connections..
But he WAS a “stand up” type of guy, so…… :thumb:

Dunno.
But for a guy who kept perfect time, I’m surprised he’s late…

He had vintage Italian heritage with real class and talent, so there's that.
