Has any one found a way to convert the 1lb propane cartridge feed on a 'Weber Traveler', to a more useful higher capacity propane tank?

And BTW: What's with the non matching threads ON THE 1lb cartridges. Seems to be a lot of stupid going on here. Is it me or?

The dealer, a grown up, returns a vacant look.  Thank you for what ever help you can offer.    R3~

You should be able to find a pigtail at your local hardware store to be able to use a 20lb or larger tank. I have been doing this for years. I also have a couple of adapters allowing me to refill 1lb bottles.

Camping World has adapters, hoses etc. for converting just about everything propane.  Also, if you have a welding supply nearby, they can get you set up.
