V7 ll seat
« on: November 04, 2023, 08:25:44 PM »
Looking for a seat to fit a 2014 v7 ll. Purchased a 2014 v 7, with a Corbin seat, it’s too wide for the rear rack to fit. If I want to go for a trip, I want the rack and tail bag to fit . Would prefer a taller saddle, but stock would be ok.

Stock seat and shocks on those are torture racks.

What's fouling the Corbin, the rear RACK or the Bolts?

I ask because I use my Corbin on both my MkI and MKIII and ask I had to do was cut the rear rack/fender bolts a little shorter or install new ones that were shorter. But I have the HB racks on both.

PS if you go with a new seat the most comfortable OEM one I've had was off a Cafe Classic.

The seat is hitting the rack, and it won’t latch. The seat is too wide, but I will look for a seat from a classic.

It's not just a V7C, but the Cafe version. The racer seat might be the same.

PS, on the latch, the Corbin latch post can be shimmed lower. But if the seat is hitting the rack itself that is probably a moot point.

The Stock Stornello seat is also very good, but I'm not picky. I agree that the stock shocks were TERRIBLE, and the only shocks I have ever changed for comfort.
