Northeastern Calif Volcanic Legacy Trip
« on: June 08, 2024, 01:31:34 PM »
After a far-too-long hiatus, I finally mounted the V85tt and enjoyed a five-day tour of an historic and spectacular (and oft-forgotten) region of California.  I've posted notes about it here.  I hope you will join me on the ride.  https://thechurchoftheopenroad.blogspot.com/2024/06/field-notes-from-five-days-on-moto-guzzi.html

I live in Quincy and ride most of these roads often. I rode past Lake Almanor yesterday on a ride to Westwood. Good to know that the road to LaPorte is now open, my favorite ride in the area. The road is a bit challenging and the scenery is fantastic not for those who are afraid of extreme drop offs with no guardrails.
