15M ECU for 99 Basa and 2000 Jakal
« on: August 06, 2024, 11:13:58 AM »
All,

I'm a 2014 Griso owner who's familair with Guzzidiag. I have a colleague and his brother coming to visit Saturday and get their throttle bodies "synched". Additionally, they'd like me to hook up to their ECU's. I'm not familiar with what Guzzidiag will allow us to "reset" on this ECU. Also, it would be great to know parameters we should be looking for as normal............. .can anyone provide some advice?
Many thanks,
John

He's from the Ghetto forum, helps others there. I thought he was you for a while, but no. Good guy none the less, like you.

Answering the Q, no auto resets on 15M like the 5AM, you can change the # on the idle mixture but that's all besides looking at parameters. TPS is set manually.

We have a newer member being JohnA.
If the likeness is too confusing you could modify your handle a bit. Just a suggestion if it’s an issue. 👍

I joined several years ago but I don't think I ever posted anything until now. Like Guzzisteve said, I have a Griso so I mostly "live" there.
Steve, thanks again for your help.

Something to look at is the initial setting for CO.  It's a little tricky to set it without an analyzer but it can be done. The reading you first see can be between +50 and -50. I have three different ecu's and their settings to get my V11 to run the same is all over the place, so it takes a little fiddling to get the best setting.  If your patient, you will see and hear the difference and tune for the best idle.  My $.02.  Something I did was to write the best setting on the cover of the ecu so you'll know where you last had it set.

John A is NOT the same as JohnA.
John A has the additional ascii space character so it is totally unique.
ASCII Space character is 32 in decimal or 0010 00002 in binary. Big difference.

Yesterday when I clicked on his user profile, mine came up. Today it is not that way.

I can certainly change mine-no problem. Had no way of knowing someone else had something close already.

You always want to start with a good tune-up and see how it runs before adjusting CO trim or changing maps. Do an accurate valve adjust and then set the base TPS voltage value (clean the throttle bodies and butterfly valves before setting the TPS value) and then do an idle and partially open throttle body balance. Get all that perfect and then see how it runs.
