Can Guzzidiag reset my Audace immobilizer

2016 Audace with 40k miles. Never been to the shop since new. Meticulously maintained and cared for by owner/technician. Running a Beetlemap for 30k miles. The only thing that has failed is an ABS wheel sensor. I was troubleshooting a no start problem and made the mistake of turning the plastic part of the ignition switch without the key switch attached and I believe the immobilizer engaged and shut everything down. The instrument panel was lighting up as normal but there was no response from the starter button. I took the switch apart thinking the springs and tabs were sticking but found no problem. After reassembling the electrical part of the switch I turned it with a screwdriver and the instrument panel asked for a code, which I never set up since it was new. Suddenly everything is dead? Any help is greatly appreciated. Not sure how to even connect with Guzzidiag since I get no response from the ignition now. Thanks

You may have a chance if you enter all (0)'s , that is for the CARC dash if never set-up for your personal code. I didn't go to California school cause the shop needed a tech on duty. So, I didn't get into the 1400's like the CARC's.
Maybe just a new ign switch, but Maybe a 1400 owner that know for sure. I do know it's different than the CARC models

I would do a search either here or on GT, saw you over there. Contact Roper or Beetle would get your answers.

I doubt GD will be helpful for the immobilizer and key. That is usually part of the dash electronics.

Most of the CARC bikes will ask for a code until you program one. I believe the 1400's have a service code that similar to the CARC bikes that will let you into the menu to pair the key with the Dash this is the USER Code.

I would try 00000 to see if it allows the bike to start.

Here is what I have in my files for key programming on the CARC bikes. I seem to remember my MGX21 being very similar.

If you have a functioning key, all you need is the user code and you can program the dash to register more keys.

Factory USER code is 00000  **Some change to match SERVICE Code

The 1400 service code should be 34534.

Programing KEYS
1. Key on, not running
2. Toggle to Menu and select
3. Toggle to "Diagnosis" and select, it will prompt you to enter the SERVICE code.
4. Toggle to Change Keys.  You can also read the error codes, reset service and other baloney.
5. Select change Keys and enter your USER code.  It will then prompt you to 'enter key to be programmed.
6. Shut off the ignition switch. Make sure you are in a lighted space, as the LCD will give a message "Enter 1st key to program' insert key and turn on wait a second or two and off.
7. The message now pops up "Enter Second Key” Insert second key, turn on and off, and so on. You have 20 seconds to complete the programming.
8. Once you are out of keys to program, let the system count down/time out, and test your keys. I THINK you can do up to 4 keys, but don’t really know as I've never had more than two. I 'programmed' both of my keys this way. Again, this doesn't change anything in the key, it just is registered/paired with the dash and will unlock the immobilizer.



Programing User Code - Factory is 00000
1. Key on, not running
2. Toggle to Menu and select
3. Toggle to "Settings" and select, then toggle to "Set user code" and select. If you have one set, it will say "Change Code" From what I understand the 'factory' code is 00000, that is what my new dash was.
4. Message will say enter current user code, if a new dash is 00000. If you are changing the code, it could be 00000 or 12345 or the service code, it all depends on what the PO did.
5. Once current user code is entered, it prompts you to enter new code. I like to use the service code as my user code.

Now you are done setting up a user code. The next time you use your main key, you will not get that 5-10 second set user code reminder message. I'm thinking when you set the user code it must automatically register that key, but maybe not, I can't say for sure, just what mind did. Now you can program the dash to read/register new keys with the user code.

If you've never been asked for a code before (which it would do if it had never been done regardless of the aerial functionality), then the code had probably been set already.

When I bought my used Audace I only got one key and didn't know about the user code. I got lucky it turned out to be the last 5 digits of the VIN. When you get it going and if 00000 doesn't work try the VIN some dealers set it with that before delivery.

You are messing up things. And don't understand how things work. The usercode isn't needed as long that you have a key that is learnt in the bike, and the antenna is seeing the key. If you turn the key part with a screwdriver, just like any thief does, the chip in the key isn't seen by the antenna and the bike won't start. So make sure the key switch part is put together like it should with the antenna attached, and the bike will run again.
