Don't they make a bang when you head butt one at 60 MPH

Skid mark from the bird across the visor, but  no damage to lid,  bike or me

However, it's s not an experience I'd care to repeat :thumb:

Yeah, I'll bet you're happy you didn't get knocked off hitting a roof rat at 60, good for you!  Poor pidgy pidgy.

Ive hit a few including a hawk that bounced between my chest and tank on the v7 sport in TN and another hawk that got caught between me and the windshield on the FLH on the interstate in VT.  The Guzzi bird tried to avoid me & then got out pretty quick.  We think FLH bird was possibly going after dinner on the side of the road and didn’t know what happened.  It swooped right into my arms, completely missing the fairing & windshield.  Then it flapped and thrashed around quite a bit before finally getting out.

I thought I had narrowly missed a group of pigeons that got spooked, except a thump I got to the midsection. 2 lights later, I look down and there is a stow away. A pat on the butt and he flew off. Glad he didn't poop on me.

This bugger appeared as a grey blur from right field in my peripheral vision about half a second before it got headbutted 👍

I squished a meadowlark with the front of my SHOEI heading for the Arkansas line at about 85 one time. My neck was sore for a week or two

I hit a bird as I was crossing an overpass at night. There was a bunch of birds going after the bugs under the lights and it hit me on the face shield. My wife was following and she said it looked like my head exploded  because of all the feathers and my head movement , no shit or blood which surprised me. When vultures take off from the side of the road after being surprised, they evacuate their bowels and I’ve been almost hit by that. It’s part of the fun, it smells real bad.

I met a guy @ the Iowa rally years ago they called "Buzzard Bob" I asked about the name. The buzzard wrapped around his helmet, but he managed to stay upright. He said all he could see was the buzzard's back door for a few seconds

Turkeys are 25 lb bowling balls trying to fly…they don’t really lift off the ground until they’ve used about 100 yds of runway…you think they will be high enough to go under them by the time you get there…but nooooooooio!!!

From deep in the woods they are still only 2-3 feet off the ground when they target your front wheel

I've hit 2 turkey buzzards now.  Both times I popped up over a hill and there they were, a group of them scattered in the road.  They are just so dang slow to take off from the ground, and as stated above, they all fly in different directions.  --Horn, slow down, and duck.  Both times the buzzard was deflected off my shoulder and helmet and landed in the ditch. Knocked my mirror out of adjustment and twisted the clutch down, but nothing else thankfully.

I know Bob and a bunch of his riding friends so I've heard the story from different angles.  Apparently there was a considerable amount of buzzard insides all over Bob's outside.   They said since he was wearing a full face helmet plus full gear, they just took him over to someone's front yard and hosed him down with a garden hose as best they could.
