Guzzi Riders on Long Island
« on: September 18, 2024, 07:53:11 AM »
Anyone/groups on Long Island?

I'll be out here on the East End/North Fork most of the time through Mid December, and would love to link up. I'm bikeless at the moment, but will have the Stornello up here before too long.

The MGNOC has a contact page if you're in the club. I have had folks drop in when I was listed. There is the piano players shop out there.
What, No Griso?

It's only a "shop" for him.

It's a museum to everyone else, but a cool one.

I plan to do some riding out on the East end Montauk and potentially the beach. Da GRiSO would no-ta be the bike-a for this...

I've been to the shop in oyster Bay several times, may swing by.

Haven't had much time to play yet and been working away on my brother-in-law's Christmas tree farm.

And eating great pizza

Yeah it's true you really can't beat New York/Long Island for its pizza and bagels. A buddy from high school stayed local bought a strip mall and set up a pizza place bagel shop beer store and a couple of other businesses.

If you're ever in Jamesport Long Island definitely get pizza at Lenny's.

Also there's a place called The Elbow Room which will serve up one of the best steaks you've ever had in your life.

It's really nice to see businesses and restaurants that were famous and thriving 40 years ago still going strong.

Despite doing with the drama between my mother and sister it's been really nice spending time in the old stomping grounds. Tomorrow I'm going to drive out to Montauk to see the sunrise. Can't wait to get the Stornello up here in a couple weeks.

Used to go to the bike races at Bridgehampton. The track is no longer there. Ferry from New London to Orient Point, ride to Greenport, ferry to Shelter Island, ride to the track. Pretty country out there.
