V85TT Engine Torque Tables
«
on:
February 11, 2025, 05:08:37 PM »
I have a 2019 V85TT. I have a copy of the factory workshop manual for it which I got from This Old Tractor.
The manual is missing the pages in the Characteristics section which has all the torque settings for the engine.
Does anybody out there have this information, please?
I would appreciate being able to copy or download it.
Thanks,
Dave

I don’t think it’s ‘missing’. Guzzi manuals no longer have a list of torque specs like older bike manuals often did. Instead, if you look throughout the book, you’ll see diagrams displayed in their respective chapters with torque specs shown. If you’re looking for torque specs for engine parts, those would be in the engine manual.

I see torque specs listed all throughout the Power Supply, Suspension, Chassis, Braking System, Bodywork, and even Pre-Delivery chapters. And then you have the engine manual. So…what torque spec are you looking for exactly?

Cadre Cycle, Greg’s ThisOldTractor, and Guzzitek all have the same 2019 manual.
The torque specs are in the manual. No pages are missing; if there were, you’d think the page count at the bottom would skip.

Thanks for your replies.
The manual I have is numbered 2Q000383, Engine V85 E4.
The first section "Characteristics" starts and finishes at page CHAR-7 which shows generic torque figures but no specifics.
I am aware that there are more pages with a list of specific figures.
It is these missing pages I would like to locate. The most important figure I need is that of the nuts holding the cylinder head in place.
Incidentally, I also have the manual 2Q0000400 which is the one shown on the three sites mentioned above.
Thanks again,
Dave

I still don’t see any pages missing. Page 7 starts 7 pages after the 1st page of the manual; I think they just chose not to name those pages. Curious how you found out there are more specific torque specs? I’m not saying you’re incorrect, but the manual seems to indicate those general specs should be fine. Further, I checked the torque specs of the cylinder head nuts in the other engine manuals, and they’re not terribly off (42 Nm in the MIUG 3 manual instead of 50 Nm stated on the V85’s ‘general specs’ table).
Screenshot for everyone’s reference:
And the following note:
If the following tables do not expressly indicate the tightening torque values, refer to the table with the
generic torque values indicated below.
