Just finished the Great Norge Fly and ride planning.... 2100 miles +/-  Plan ZERO moments on Interstate

I bought the bike last year from a trusted Guzzi Buddy, and was supposed to collect last year, but life got busy.

Here's the basic itinerary and planned overnights.

2 April - Launch for Homestead FL - Overnight at - Homestead, FL
3 April - Ride to Key West - Overnight at Naval Naval Air Station Guest Lodge - Key West
4 April - Ride to Fort Myers via Everglades National Park - Overnight with family
5 April - Ride to Melbourne - Overnight with long time family friends.
6 April - Ride to Richmond Hill GA via 17 Coastal Route, St Augustine, Amelia Island - Overnight in Richmond Hill GA (just South of Savannah)
7 April - Ride 17 to Wilmington NC - 2 nights recovery with Dad
9 April - Ride to Rockbridge Baths - 2 nights at Rockbridge Baths home. (site of future Guzzi gathering organized via e-mail 31 July-4 Aug, PM if interested)

Anyone on the route? Shoot me a PM, would be great to link up.

General overview of planned route.

Took delivery of the Norge Tuesday and launched for the Keys this morning. 370 miles down, a few more to go. The Norge needs a little cosmetic TLC and a few odds & ends, but runs beautiful, tracks perfectly.

This is my first time ever in the interior of Florida and let me tell you Kansas has nothing on Florida when it comes to flat terrain.

Great day, up and out to Key West tomorrow.

This is my first time ever in the interior of Florida and let me tell you Kansas has nothing on Florida when it comes to flat terrain.

A friend who grew up in Daytona told me the highest point in Florida is near the Alabama border, ~350' above MSL.  He also said the highest point in Volusia County (Daytona) is the garbage dump.  I don't know if that's actually true.

From my experience, the highest point I saw was an overpass on I-95.
