After they chewed the coil wire and one spark plug wire off of my riding mower, there was zero chance that I was going to give them an opportunity at the little motorbikes.

I just had an issue in my storage space I rent, got 3 large ones on sticky pads. They chewed on sidecar seat & police solo seat, nothing on wiring on any of the bikes. I found out they don't like dryer sheets, now cover the bikes but the rig is at home. I also put a bait station next to entrance, not from store but a commercial one. Stepson works for Arrow. Never had any for 15yrs.

I put mothballs under the bike and in the engine bay of my truck that lives outdoors (squirrels).  Seems to work, but my wife says the truck smells like an old closet.

They sure can make a mess, I just cleaned out the vermin from my mower. I have moved it from the shed to a mouse proof garage now!

I recently opened the large bottom drawer of my tool chest.  Found a large rodent nest inside.  A mix of shredded user manuals and insulation fiberglass.  What’s weird is no mice or poop.

I also discovered that eBay will send you a 20-pack for $20.  They arrived today.

Me, too! I use peanut butter for bait.

I hate mice.

Rodent populations apparently run in cycles. One year
we had a peak cycle with a big fall storm that knocked
all of the mast down from the trees. It was like something
out of an Alfred Hitchcock movie. Dead squirrels all over the
roads, and mice into everything. I set traps in the wood piles
and was killing up to ten mice a day. I had them in the wall
of the house just behind my bed. The scratching in the middle
of the night would wake me up - I thought I was gonna lose
what few wits I still  possess.

I hate mice.

I've trapped 'em, squashed 'em, drowned 'em, shot 'em, and sicced
the cat on 'em.

I have the open airbox lid kit on my '23 V7, which is garaged.  I recently had a problem with finding acorns on top of the air filter.  I cleaned them out, shrugged my shoulders, and put the air filter back in.  Two weeks later, same thing.  So rinse and repeat, but this time I moved a pedestal fan I have in the garage to where it was about 3 feet behind the bike, and taped a piece of paper on the back side of the fan cage.  It makes a sound, similar to putting a playing card against the spokes of a bicycle, and I left two overhead LED lights on that were above the bike, so that area was well lit.  Checked two weeks later, nothing in the air filter, so keeping my fingers crossed I won't have to resort to traps.  But if so, it'll be on like Donkey Kong!

Intakes are one place the critters like to nest.  The exhaust is another.  I watched corn kernals blow out of a 4 wheelers exhaust I worked on. Sweep them up off the driveway and had almost a full dustpan.   I used hardware cloth over the intake and exhaust to slow them down. I haven't heard from the guy in a while so I assume it's working.
