Crimp On Cable Ends - Where to Source?
« on: April 21, 2025, 03:50:07 PM »
I've tried Amazon with no joy. Anyone know where to source these crimp-on cable ends? Need to make a custom clutch cable...

Go to "Google", look up "Motorcycle control cable parts"

What 73 sport wrote. Better to solder than crimp IMO. Flanders used to be a good source, but I think they've gone out of business.

Flanders website is still up https://www.flanderscompany.com/.  Opening page says phone service has been restored.

My Flanders cable making  kit has served me for several decades.  For  a less  costly option Here is a Ebay seller link for cable end supplies. No association with the  seller or Ebay on my part . Just passing it along. You will also need a solder pot , lead and  some flux. ( available on Amazon).

Glad to see Flanders in business. Their website is now copyright 2025. No need to buy a fancy solder pot since copper end-caps from the plumbing department do very well. Put them in the vise and heat them with a propane torch. Here are my pots, 1 inch and 5/16 inch:
