Anyone near Durango or Telluride with Lonelec Cables?
« on: June 11, 2025, 08:24:13 PM »
Spending the week in Southwest Colorado and forgot to bring my Lonelec cables.  I have my laptop with Guzzidiag loaded but can’t clear a Red Triangle SERVICE message that just appeared and is making the 2008 Norge run rough with a noticeable loss of power.

I put in a spare set of brand new plugs I had with me, all wires are clean and tight and I put a brand new fully charged battery in and left it charging overnight.  Am getting 13.8 Volts when running which is what I always get.

Bike starts but noticeably rough and low idle for much longer than at sea level but after 20 seconds is idling normally.  Wondering if I have a stuck stepper motor as the bike was running perfectly in Houston at 130 feet above sea level and now runs like crap at 9500 feet above sea level.

Thanks in advance!

Good luck and I hope you report back on the fix. In addition to my V85TT, I have a '17 Triumph Bonneville T120 that runs poorly at high altitudes but runs great again in the 650' MSL here in the Dallas area. I expected the MAP, BARO and O2 sensors to adjust to the high altitudes but it doesn't.

I have the cables in Winchester California.  I could ship them to you if nobody else is closer.

Thanks for the kind offer!  Unfortunately I am headed home Sunday so will not be enough time…

I’m beginning to suspect a slightly clogged fuel filter at this point but will only be able to confirm once I get home and take the tank off which I don’t want to do here at the hotel.
