I recently changed gear and final drive oil on my 2023 V7 Stone. It wasn't due - the bike only has 10k km on it - it was more or less for fun / preventative / OCD-related.
In getting ready for the task, I watched a few youtube videos (as one does), and witnessed people doing all kinds of interesting stuff to access the gear oil drain plug, from loosening / removing the right side exhaust, to using super fancy specialized tools.
I just wanted to report that a 15/16" open-ended wrench, inserted from the right side between the frame rail and the exhaust, reaches the drain plug just fine. The whole operation of changing both the gearbox and final drive oil took maybe 20 min, and 10 of that was just waiting for them to drain completely. The oil drips down on the exhaust cross pipe, but so what. Just wipe it off well because gear oil stinks when it cooks off. As long as you have a way to hold the bike vertical, this job is easy-peasy (I just ran the front wheel into a sport chock; I have one of those stands that lifts the bike from the frame cross piece, but it is terrifying to use without help so I avoid it).
Maintenance on this bike is so easy it's almost disappointing sometimes...
