"...It sounds like you just really don't want to ride the bike...The '26 Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory looks like a fold up and hunch over the tank bike. Do you plan on riding it?...
I imagine that's the quick shifter.
Whats the purpose of the fins that motor out from the tank?its a bit weird IMHO
I don’t believe its a quick shifter...
If your shift linkage looks like this, I believe it has a quick shifter (QS). The linkage on my non-QS equipped '24 V100 Mandello is just a plain rod. My '26 Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory has a QS, but I don't ever plan on using it. I'm old-school, firmly believe in using the clutch to shift gears, having a QS on a street bike is silly IMO.
Ok I’ll come from this angle…I know it’s your money so you get to make your choice, but as Lenny Kravitz said….“What I really want to know is..” ?Why would someone choose to opt for a quick shifter, I know they are entitled to, but the question is…Why ?What is the perceived benefit of such a gadget, real or otherwise ? Also, is the clutch disengaged in any way during the shift/s ?
"...Much like how modern performance auto transmissions are far quicker and smoother shifting than any human on a manual gearbox (regardless of what our ego may say...)."
