Gerry Mees. RIP
« on: September 18, 2025, 10:11:08 AM »
Hello, I wanted to share for those who knew him, Gerry Mees passed away September 17. Gerry loved rallies and rode all over to so many in his riding years. All his 100k plus Moto Guzzi miles was on a 1996 green and black 1100i California with bates side bags. He was a founding member of the fine group that started the Kentucky Moto Guzzi rally 25 years ago. He promoted all rallies wherever he went. I met him in 1998 at Andy and Mary Thompson's Indiana rally in Jasper. Wow, what a long time ago and we have been great loyal friends ever since. I'll miss you and your stories.

I only got to meet him after I got the first MG in 2017, very nice fellow.  I hope he is riding in the sky now.  RIP.

Aw that is sad to hear. Gerry was always great with my daughter who would always come to the Indiana camp out on the back of my White Stone. Once you met Gerry, no matter where (Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kentucky) he would come and always say hi. He will be missed.
