Another source for parts. These cylinder kits are excellent quality as well, every bit as good as the Gilardonis at a lower price. https://www.crustycycle.com/products/moto-guzzi-cylinder-complete-83mm-850t-t3-eldorado-850gt

+1 on Crusty, great service and fast shipping. I have s set of these on my '73 Eldo, easy fit with no issues.

Nice going on getting the cylinder sets!  Now pull that crank, check all the bearing fits, AND clean out the sludge trap!

If by the "sludge trap" you mean the pan and that cage thingy, I did that. Are you making me pull the engine for the crank check? Ughhhh....

The sludge trap is a cavity inside the rod journal of the crankshaft and is only accessible once the crank is removed.

What he said!

There's no point in pumping $$$ into a bike that most likely has a crank sludge trap full or darn near.   :azn:

Based on the condition of your top end I would bet it is full

You will pat yourself on the back later.

I bet you're right because the pan had that gooey black, non-metallic mess in it. Okay, time to get after it. At this rate I need to heat my garage.....sigh. It's cold right now in NC. Thanks guys.

Engine out, sludge trap cleaned! It wasn't packed full but there was junk in it....thanks! Mic'd the bearings and journals, everything is good. Checking into a Stein-Dinse oil filter conversion kit before I put this back together, I'd feel much better with this kit installed.
I cleaned all the oil passages, clutch assembly, replaced a bad u-joint in the drive shaft assembly, rear end is tight, rebuilt the front forks and installed progressive springs, rebuilt the master cylinder and caliper, new wheel bearings and made and installed front wheel bearing spacer. Things are coming along well, so many little things...but the little things is what will always bite you in the butt down the road.

Good progress!!

If you haven't put the swingarm back on, check the u-joint bearing for cracks and smooth operation.  The bearing is cheap, so its not a bad idea to replace it when it is apart.

Swingarm is still out so I'll check the bearing tomorrow. Thanks Dave
