V65 rings
« on: January 19, 2026, 12:43:23 PM »
I'm replacing the rings & exhaust valves on my 84 V65c, the oil ring I removed had coiled wire on a wire in the back of the oil ring.
The ring kit that I got From  MG Cycle, the oil ring in the kit doesn't use the coiled Wire, is it safe to use this Oil ring from the kit ?
ALSO the wrist pins were awful tight, had to tap them all the way out, definitely not a slip fit.
Just need info & advice
Thanks in Advance  :thumb:

I’d use the rings, I did without any problems. Heat the piston and the pins should slide right in.
