Good one and a bad one

2022 V85, the clutch cable adjuster was wound almost all the way so I decided to make an adjustment at the actuating arm. Access was easy by removing the plastic cover located on the inside of the fender liner. Others may have success turning the weirdly headed screw but I found it easiest to remove the actuating arm. Good excuse to lube the pivot bushing while it was off. Win.
Also, I had very little rear brake. Pedal would go full stroke with not much grip. The suggested fix is to raise the caliper higher than the ABS unit and bleed. I raised to to the top of the fender liner and vacuum bled about 10 tiny reservoirs through it. No change. If I remove the muffler I can probably get the caliper a little higher bit I don’t know if that will help. Loss.
Any suggestions?

Bring it over to the right side of the bike, and you’ll be able to get it high enough. Have the bleed nipple facing up, too.

Hmm, I would never do that unless I lived in a very low humidity area, like Arizona (non-thunderstorm season). Even then..

I had similar problems bleeding my rear brake, even after raising the caliper. I tried putting a weight (paving brick worked for me) on the pedal & left it overnight.
Next morning I had solid pedal back again. Try it.
