Around 2000, before the forum there was a list, sort of like a forum but not this format. I been on here since the begining trying to help rider with their issues. My way to give back, cause someone helped me way back, mostly old dealers & friends in MGNOC. Most all dead now.
Do you have a 73 Sport? I had a 74 at one time, around 92 and traded it and 2 850T's for a 93 SP3. the last new bike I've bought.

I bought my 1973 Sport in march 1974. We've been up & down the east coast, the appalachians, and the smokies many times.

Before browsers like Mosaic and Netscape Wildguzzi was a listserv. All text, no graphics. I think around 1995, maybe earlier.

I think Roy Harvey ran the list under inet.rendezvous or topica.com.  Maybe his list was just for LoopFrames???   Early stages of Internet and computers.  How did we ever survive before that?   He's still in the northwest and riding a modern V7 last I rode along with him.

Yeah, Roy Harvey on topica. Met him at the Virginia nationals back in the day.  Natasha the (not very bright) robot kept kicking me off topica,  but before that, there was a strictly email list.

NO CRAP, wish it was still like it was before all the political dingdongs showed up here. When it was about Guzzi's not other brands
I got a puter in 99 to work on Guzzi FI cause I needed one not to play on the net, just a tool not a toy like everyone phone that has ruined America & made the kids stupid not smarter.

It started in 1996 as an ASCII text based platform on a simple hosted subdirectory (from a friends website) that I had to clear data from about every week to keep the server from crashing . Back then if you wanted something, you had to print it because it would be gone soon.

I went to the current BBS type format in 2001 on a system called PHPbb and that lasted a few years. That was a record year for new members too. However, tt was a problem child that I spent more time fixing than enjoying. Then around 2005 or 2006 I converted to SMF and that's where we're at today after about a dozen upgrades.

That's a long answer to your question. The short answer is 30 years. Who'd-a-thunkit...
